'Shady Willows'
was constructed in 1998 and features 22 rooms of varying
size to accommodate both single cats and multi-cat households.
Our Cattery has everything the pampered puss could wish
for!
Your cat's home
away from home
We accommodate both single
cats and multi-cat households. Only cats from the same
household are permitted to share their rooms! An average
bedroom is 2m x 1.5m. We provide the 'sleeping bags' but
guests can bring any of their own beds or comforters they
think may be suitable.
Each room has its own toilet
facilities and room service is completed each morning
when beds are made and bathrooms have been attended to.
All units are sheltered from the rain when necessary and
all guests are given individual attention by our caring
staff who cater to their every need.
Each guest is fed the food
of their choice and regular meals twice a day, but any
specially requested meal or snacks are attended to without
hesitation. Kittens are also fed according to their needs.
'Hairdressing' is
available on a daily basis if required.
Medication
is administered if and when required, and we are well
known for our post-operative care and convalescence skills.
We have the odd Diabetics
among our regular guests who can be monitored and injected
if required.
The whole unit is built in
a quadrangle around a landscaped garden complete with
a large pond, including fish, if our guests would like
to try a spot of fishing. To add to the 'in house' entertainment
we also have a radio playing to give a family atmosphere.
Daytime can be spent
lazing on the sunny 'Catio' which is an additional 11m
x 7m complete with sunning shelf and hollow logs also
tunnels and climbing gym.
For winter comfort
we provide a lounge environment around a pot belly stove
with television and cosy nooks.
VACCINATION:
All cats must be
vaccinated regularly against cat flu and feline enteritis
and on your vet's advice, against feline leukaemia. A
current vaccination certificate from your vet will be
required when your cat is boarded.
All cats must have
a current flea control (i.e. Advantage) and be wormed.
VETERINARY TREATMENT:
If your cat needs treatment
whilst in our care, we will contact our local vet in most
cases. If the condition is serious your cat's own vet
will be contacted before treatment is carried out if you
so desire. When possible, it is advisable to leave a contact
number with us where you can be contacted if necessary.
DIET:
Shady Willows Boarding Cattery
caters for the fussiest of eaters. However, we do keep
in stock many different varieties of tin food and dry
food as well as fresh meat.
Inspection is invited
at any time during our opening hours which are:
Between 8 am and 10 am and 4 pm till 6 pm. (except
Christmas & Boxing Day).
Daily
Rates $14 per day per cat (from July 1, 2010)
